EAST KALIMANTAN

The capital city is Samarinda, while the main gate is Balikpapan. Provided direct international flight from Singapore or by transit via Jakarta. On your arrival it is possible to starting the tour or takes one night stay in star hotel or in a comfortable non star hotel for your accommodation.

Bamboo is the main plantation in Malaris village. They sell it through the Amandit river by rafts as their traditional transportation since past time. The Province of a Thousand Rivers. One is Barito River, the largest and the longest river in Indonesia which is more than 6,000 km long.

Banjarmasin, is the capital which is called “river City”. A number of rivers with various sizes and lengths wind their way through this city. A floating market can be visited in early morning, located in the Barito river bay.

Cempaka, a small village as an old site of traditional diamond mining, some of them are still using very simple equipment. In 1985 a large raw diamond of 116.7 carats was found in a 15 meter deep mine shaft.

Martapura is the centre of diamond and other jewelers marketing. Stone-craft of various origins and forms are easily found in the markets of Martapura. Sasirangan is a traditional textile design specially of South Kalimantan also can be found here.

The Amandit River which originates at Meratus runs through Loksado and meets the mighty Barito River further down. Those who enjoy rafting may venture the trip through numerous rocky rapids by traditional rafts made of bamboo, the panorama along the river is fascinating.

Secondary and primary tropical rain forest are still can be found in this area. We provide soft trekking to dipterocarpe and mossy forest.

WEST KALIMANTAN
Pontianak is the capital city of this province. Domestically connect by land, sea and air transports to all over Indonesia. Internationally, it is connect to Malaysia (Sabah and Serawak) and Brunei by land or by air transports.

Borneo especially in the West Part is passed by the Equator Line. Therefore, the entire year warm climate makes visitors feel in different part of the globe. The temperature goes 23°-33° Celsius.

Each March 23rd and September 23rd nature phenomenon any standing object around the Equator line has no shadow in the midday, every year.

Nature and culture are typical of West Kalimantan tour programs. Presents the unique of tropical rain forest and biological diversity of flora and fauna. Orangutan wild life still can be found at Mount Palung area.

Dayak the aboriginal of Borneo Island, Malay, Chinese are the main ethnic society who live in this part of Borneo land. In some places, Dayak society maintains existence of aboriginal culture up to the present time. They still live in a longhouse that may consist of hundred people live in.

CENTRAL KALIMANTAN
Palangkaraya is the capital city of Central Kalimantan. This province is famous by Tanjung Puting National Park, the first place of Orangutan rehabilitation center in Indonesia. There are three station Tanjung Harapan, Pondok Tanggui, and Camp Leakey which is covered 415.000 Ha area.

One of the best places in the world to see orangutans is in Tanjung Putting National Park. They are living around the camp and will come to greet you. The young orphans who cannot yet care for themselves have to be taught how to climb trees and eat leaves, before back into the wild.
