East Java is one of Indonesia provinces. It is located on the eastern part of Java Island and also includes Madura and Bawean islands. Bojonegoro is a small town and regency in East Java, Indonesia. It is located about 100 km west of Surabaya. Bojonegoro regency has an area of 934 km (230.706 acres), with a population of 1,156,652 (based on a census in 2000). The eastern border of Bojonegoro is Lamongan Regency, in the north is Tuban while in the south is Madiun, Nganjuk and Jombang. To the west in the west are Ngawi and Blora, in Central Java. Situbondo is a town located at the distance of thirty-five kilometers northeast of Bondowoso Regency. The harbor of Panarukan is found here. Situbondo is a producer of cane sugar. From Situbondo, one can visit Pasir Putih Beach, a well-known seaside resort forty-three kilometers from Situbondo. About fifty-nine kilometers away from the town the village of Wonorejo, near the Baluran Nature Reserve. Wild buffaloes graze on extensive grasslands.
